Professional and clerical opportunities exist at our Corporate Headquarters and affiliated locations in Milwaukee. Current openings include:

Regional Mortgage Loan Processor/Closing Manager: The successful candidate will oversee the processor/closer functions and personnel, making certain all loan applications and preapproval loans are completed accurately and in a timely manner. In addition, the Manager evaluates the financial condition of individuals applying for residential loans and oversees the preparation of files that meet Bank Mutual's underwriting standards, as well as other investors, if applicable. The Manager also acts as the Bank's liaison between the customer, loan officer and bank office staff in answering questions and putting quality loans together. Basic responsibilities include planning and scheduling department activities and loan pipeline within the residential mortgage lending area to meet the required deadlines, staying informed of current practices as related to functions performed in the Mortgage Loan Operations Department and communicating all changes to staff, making suggestions on loan policies and procedures, reviewing condominium projects for Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) and/or corporate loan compliance and training at regional sales meetings. Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 5 to 10 years of experience in residential mortgage lending or related field and a comprehensive background to all lending rules and regulations as they pertain to processing, underwriting and closing residential mortgage loans. Must have excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Sales Development Specialist: The Sales Development Specialist, a member of our Sales & Marketing department, contributes to the growth and profitability of the Bank. The selected candidate will recommend sales strategies to bank office associates to attain monthly bank office production goals, conduct bank office visits to strengthen cross-selling techniques and address other sales related topics, and serve as a mentor to bank office managers and personal bankers in the areas of motivation, sales strategies and the attainment of bank office goals. Additionally, they will conduct bi-monthly Bank Office Manager, Teller Supervisor and Personal Banker presentations on motivation, coaching and sales strategies in assigned regions of the Bank. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree plus five years of sales management experience in a goal orientated sales environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in preparing and presenting information on successful sales techniques. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel 50%-75% of the time, which may include overnight travel.

Legal Clerk - Processor: Bank Mutual is seeking an individual who will be responsible for completing a wide range of tasks for the Legal Department, including processing home improvement grants, receiving and processing bankruptcy notices, and processing and returning subpoenas served upon the Bank. In the course of performing these tasks, this individual will be preparing such legal documents as grant agreements, mortgages, and satisfactions of mortgage, reaffirmation agreements, and subordination agreements. This individual will also provide miscellaneous administrative and clerical support to the Legal Department as required. The successful candidate will have at least two years previous banking or general office experience, or education beyond high school in lieu of work experience and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates will also need the ability to pay close attention to detail, and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior experience working with mortgages and/or bankruptcy matters is desirable.

Bank Office Manager/Loan Officer: The Bank Office Manager/Loan Officer oversees the overall operation of the bank office, including staff supervision, to ensure the achievement of established sales, production and operational objectives. The incumbent manages the bank office sales program and the development of new business. In addition, the Bank Office Manager/Loan Officer is responsible for originating and closing mortgage and consumer loans as the primary lender for the office.
